Double Even Triple The Days Between Required Watering and Enjoy The Benefits Of Proper Moisture Management!
• Minimize Drought Stress • Control or Eliminate Dry Spots • Enhance Nutrient & Reduce the need Pesticides • Improve Seed Germination & Transplant Establishment • Reduce Water Bills • Increase Plant Yields • Extend Flower Life
After
9 years of commercial use by golf courses, nurseries, sod farms and top
landscapers, Hydretain is now available to homeowners.
Hydretain is a revolutionary new natural chemistry that
allows homeowners to water up to 50% less and maintain healthy, great
looking plants and turf.

Hydretain
is patented blend of liquid humectant and hygroscopic compounds that
attract and hold moisture like tiny water magnets within soil. Hydretain
manages available soil moisture, extending watering intervals of indoor
and outdoor plants, flowers, vegetables, shrubs, trees and grasses by
as much as 2 to 3 times. Each application reduces watering for up to 3
months
Perfect for New & Existing Lawns, Flower Beds, Trees, Shrubs, Crops & Vegetable Gardens...
Drought or Not - Hydretain Provides Benefits Throughout The Growing Season

Just
like our bodies plants need a continual source of water to grow and
remain healthy. Even during times of normal rainfall and in between
scheduled waterings plants can suffer from a lack of sufficient water,
known as “drought stress”. Unfortunately by the time the first visible
sign of drought stress appears plants’ and turf grasses' internal
processes (photosynthesis, carbohydrate translocation, cell
differentiation, cell elongation, & cell division) have ceased. This
complete shutdown of the physiological processes results in weak,
under-developed plants, that are prone to diseases, nutrient
deficiencies, shallow roots, reduced flowering and poor crop yields.
Ultimately the overall quality of your plants and lawn suffers.
Hydretain is the solution. Hydretain manages root zone
moisture, making the most efficient use of applied water, rain, etc. |

Its
simple mechanism protects turf and plants from the harmful effects of
drought stress, reducing disease pressure and root shrinkage. Hydretain
will result in healthy, disease resistant plants that will improve the
overall quality of your lawn, landscaping and vegetable gardens.
Hydretain does not hold excess water in the root zone and
therefore does not promote disease. It also will not change the water
holding capacity or percolation of the soil matrix (except in the case
of severely hydrophobic soils as above).
Hydretain is not a wetting agent, polymer, penetrant, or
antitranspirant. No other product has the ability to actually attract
free water molecules and then release them through osmosis into the
roots of your turf. It is a truly unique compound that has no equal.
How to Apply
Simply
apply Hydretain by attaching the bottle with hose-end sprayer to your
garden hose, it’s that easy. After you apply Hydretain, rinse it off the
foliage and into the soil, then water heavily enough to carry Hydretain
down to and throughout the root zone. This allows Hydretain to attach
to your roots and begin to manage your moisture and keep your plants and
turf alive and healthy.
Each application reduces watering for up to 3 months. For
additional moisture management, spot treatment of isolated dry patches
or additional protection during prolonged hot, dry conditions, Hydretain
may be applied at rates up to 5 times the following application rates,
either as a single application or in multiple applications. (Always
rinse Hydretain off foliage and flowers and into the soil where
Hydretain is designed to function.)
Lawns:
Soil should be wet to moist (but not saturated) before applying
Hydretain. Water thoroughly the night before or a few hours before
applying. Through hose-end sprayer, 1 quart treats 2,500 to 5,000 square feet
(depending on desired watering reduction). Immediately after applying,
water thoroughly, rinsing Hydretain down into the root zone, where it is
designed to function. (Approximately 1/2 inch of water is needed.)
Trees, Shrubs and Individual Plants:
Through hose-end sprayer, apply enough Hydretain to thoroughly saturate
the soil throughout the root zone. Large Planters, Flowers and
Vegetable Gardens: Through hose-end sprayer, apply Hydretain around plant root zone at a rate of 1 quart of concentrate per 1,000 square feet.
Potted or Containerized Plants:
Through hose-end sprayer, apply enough Hydretain to thoroughly saturate
the soil throughout the pot or container. (For indoor plants, fill jug
or watering can from hose-end sprayer or mix 2 ounces of concentrate
with each gallon of water.)
Re-watering Hydretain Treated Plants and Grass:
Hydretain extends watering requirements by managing excess moisture.
Therefore, for maximum effect, it is important to water thoroughly when
re-watering Hydretain-treated areas, providing excess subsurface
moisture for Hydretain to manage. Hydretain is biodegradable.
Re-application every three months allows Hydretain to build up in the
soil profile, providing even greater drought resistance with each
application.
Is Hydretain environmentally friendly?
Hydretain
is all natural, made from food-grade materials and is fully
biodegradable. It contains no phosphates, petrochemical derivatives or
other toxic fractions, which may cause ground water runoff
contamination.
Hydretain begins to break down in approximately 90 days.
Re-application every 90 days allows Hydretain to build up in the soil
profile providing even greater drought resistance with each application.
How It Works
A
Hydretain molecule has the unique ability to attract, hold, and then
transfer water molecules into plant roots. One end of the Hydretain
molecule anchors itself to soil particles and root hairs coating their
surface. The other end is available to “grab” free water molecules from
humid air circulating in the soil, applied waterings, rainfall, etc…
Once Hydretain has “grabbed” a water molecule, it releases it into the
plant’s root throughout osmosis preventing it from being lost to
evaporation or leaching. Because the Hydretain molecule is too large to
fit through the cell wall of the root, it is left behind where it is
free to “grab” another water molecule. This process is repeated over and
over again, continually supplying the plants with water.
Hydrophobic soils are caused by organic matter (i.e.
lipids, proteinaceous compounds, humic acid, fulvic acids, alignins, and
suberin) that coat the soil particles and repel water. Because
Hydretain is able to adhere to these compounds, water molecules are
drawn to these hydrophobic areas, restoring the natural capillary action
of the soil matrix that brings plant available water to the root
system.
Excess Moisture & Disease
Hydretain
does not hold excess water in the root zone and therefore does not
promote disease. It also will not change the water holding capacity of
percolation of the soil matrix (except in the case of severely
hydrophobic soils as above). Click Here For Product Pricing
