1. What is the difference between Hydretain and Organic Water Wizard?
   Organic Water Wizard is the organic version of Hydretain. It contains humates which aid in the promotion of root growth, and the overall coverage is slightly less. Both products only need to be applied once every three months and can reduce your watering by as much as 50%.


2. What is the coverage of Organic Water Wizard and Hydretain?
   The Organic Water Wizard quart container covers about 4,000 square feet and the gallon refill will cover about 16,000 square feet. The Hydretain quart container covers about 5,000 square feet and the gallon refill will cover about 20,000 square feet.


3. How do I apply these products?
   The quart bottles contain a ready to use applicator. Simply attach a garden hose, break off the safety tab, turn the dial to the “on” position and apply. Once applied, simply water in.


4. Since Hydretain is not organic, is it safe to use around children and pets?
   Absolutely. There are elements in Hydretain that do not meet the strict criteria of being deemed "organic", but it is biodegradable and environmentally friendly so pets and children are safe.


5. When is the best time to apply either product?
   Both products can be applied early to mid spring and again early to mid summer for best results. Because these products work at the root zone they MUST be watered in after application. We suggest applying just prior or during a rain storm.


6. My lawn looks great in the spring but turns brown in July/August. Can’t I just apply either product at that time?
   When your lawn turns brown it is already under stress conditions and is drying out and dying. When you apply the product in the spring the roots are conditioned to grow deeper so that when the hot dry summer is in full swing your roots will be well below the surface.


7. Can I still use fertilizers and insect control while using these products?
   Yes, these products do not contain fertilizers, insect control or plant food so these products will still need to be used.


8. Can I use either product on new seed or just on established lawns?
   You can use either product when you starting your lawn from seed or even just spot seeding. Just lightly coat the seed with either product and lightly water. You need the product to stay on the seed and this will result in faster and more seed germination. Once the new lawn reaches mowing height you can then apply Hydretain or Organic Water Wizard in the normal application.


9. Are these products just for lawns or can you use them on gardens?
   Organic Water Wizard and Hydretain and can be used on flower beds, potted plants, window boxes, vegetable gardens, and more. Basically anything that you water can benefit from the application of Organic Water Wizard and Hydretain.


10. How do these products differ from polymers?
    Polymers are water-absorbing granules or crystals that “swell” when watered. Organic Water Wizard and Hydretain are liquid-based treatments that are sprayed into the root zone to attract and retain moisture. Both products may be safely used in conjunction with polymers.
